First of all, I do not have a bad nose. I have about 40 fragrances and most of them are good to excellent.

I bought Lolita Lempicka from Amazon and hated it so much that I had to swap it with a friend of mine. I sent him my Lempicka and he sent me his Rochas Man. This is how I was introduced to another horrible scent.

I opened the package and the box and bottle looked very different, I don't have another bottle in that shape. I wanted to keep it for my collection as I was impressed by the bottle. Then I went on to apply, man does it smell cheap. I do not judge fragrances on one try, I give them atleast couple weeks of application on different time of the day. So did I for this one as well. I still could not force me to like this stuff. It's very sugary and too sweet to the point that I had to wash my arms few times with the soap to get this off my skin. I do NOT hate gourmand fragrances but this is just not me. I do not get any of the smells of chocolate or coffee or even cotton candy. It's just some strong sugar and some sort of herbs. It's difficult for me to understand how come people claim that women love this stuff.

Anyway, another lesson learned. I would not spend another penny on these products. May be a high school kid like it but not for a gentlemen. Try Angel Men Pure Malt instead. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Rochas Man is my favorite men's fragrance. If you like gourmands, which I guess is what they call the "food fragrances," you'll love this. It's sweet without being cloying, with enough coffee to darken the effect and make it clearly masculine. Hands down, this fragrance wins for eliciting compliments. At some point each evening when I wear this, someone frequently winds up with their nose in my neck - a sign of an effective fragrance if ever there was one.
