Whether your keeping your batteries charged, running your fridge, or camping off of 115V/15A outlet this pigtail is for you! I like the idea of a pigtail adaptor that lets me "size" my cord to my needs. I have a 25' cord for camping in "barely better than primative" camping areas. And a 100' cord for when I need to run long distances to a plug. This adaptor lets me run only the distance I need. I like the fact that it's 10ga wire so it won't be the "choke" point on a long distance run. Obviously your still limited to 15A however this is perfect provided your just running your converter (and a resonable number of DC devices.) and perhaps a TV. For the most part you'll be using this at home to start your fridge and keep it cold as well as put a float charge on your battieries.
Also I'd like to talk about extension cords... Use the shortest distance you can get away with. Longer runs = more voltage loss and in turn higher amp draw. When parked in your driveway, make sure this is the only thing on the circut your using. An average RV with 50A service is going to have between a 60A and 90A converter which will draw a good amount of amperage from a house outlet. Perhaps not all the time when just maintaining a float charge but enough that it could trip a breaker in your house if you use too many DC appliances while loading your rig. And coming back from vaction a week later is not the time to find out that the line you were plugged into had your chest freezer on it and all of your food has gone bad. Use a heavy gauge cord as well. At least a 14ga cord... Anything less could potentially be a fire hazard. Your 16 or 18ga extension cords are just too thin for this kind of load. You might be fine just floating and running a fridge, but once you fire ups some lights and run your slide out, your converter is gonna start pulling some serious amps. If you know your RV has a 90A charger, make sure you're on a 12ga or even a 10ga cord. Again it's better to be safe then sorry.
$57 is bargan for the genine Marinco Park Power product. There are others offered but their aren't any cheaper so go with the real thing! Also with the cost of a decent extension cord your still in this product for a LOT less money than the cost of a 25' 125/250V 50A cord. So even if copper bandits make off with it your out 1/4 what you would be if you were using your real cord.

Great product: Allows me to maintain 10 amp electric to my 5th wheel via a drop cord. I no longer have to lug my heavy 50 amp service cord around in order to maintain my battery charged!
